The Studio 823 Family Expands!

Studio 823 was created when my first son Kade was born, and now our family is one larger. Below is Keaton, born January 20. I never pictured myself the Dad of two boys, and I don't think Shauna (my wife) ever planned on living in a house with three boys!

As you can imagine there will be many more photos to come in the future. But nothing's more amazing than photographing your son when he's only 15 minutes old. Enjoy...I know I will. Logan.

I know its been way too long since my last post. If you're still checking back from time to time to see what's new...THANKS for hanging in there! But even though I haven't been posting very well, Studio 823 has been crazy busy. Below is a furry of action over the the last few months. For the last few months the Studio 823 blog has been the best way to see recent work, but I'm excited to let you know that four of the Studio 823 "Show and Tell" galleries are now updated with over 100 new photos from work over the past few months. And thanks to the hard work of my wife Shauna they look better than ever!

Inspiration & Motivation

For those who don't know the story, Studio 823 was created when my son Kade was born 21 months ago (8/23/06). So given that he's such a big part of my inspiration and motivation I wanted to share some recent photos. We can't really call him our 'baby' anymore...he's all little boy!

Families, HS Seniors and Weddings are tons of fun, but nothings more amazing than photos with little ones like Jayd, at just 5 weeks old. It's hard to believe my rough and tough 21 month old son, Kade, used to be just as small. But I guess that's why we get photos taken, to Show and Tell our Lives, even to ourselves sometimes! 823 Weddings - We're Ready. Are You?

In less than a month I'll be kickin' back on the beach in Florida, having just shot my first Wedding. And since Wedding photography is a new realm of business for Studio 823 I wanted to make sure I started things out with a BANG!

So I geared up and went to Dallas this past week to spend a few days shooting with some of the best Wedding photographers in the U.S., Sallee Photography. They've been the Dallas Wedding Photographers of the Year for the past three years and have won a whole list of top awards from WPPI and PPA; in short they're the ROCKSTARS of Wedding photography.

Here's just a few photos I took while out with Sallee in Dallas. Cool note: In a class of 20 photographers from all over the U.S. and Canada, the album spread below won 1st place in the Sallee album spread contest...not bad for a guy from Omaha, AR.

P.S. to my first three brides: Lacey, Sabrina and Allison. Thanks for booking me without even a Wedding shot in my portfolio. You ain't seen nothin' yet!

Well, it's the first day of February 08 and it's almost been a month since the new Studio823.biz was launched. So it seemed like time to introduce something new for customers, friends and fans. Through this blog we hope to be able to provide quick and easy updates about what Studio 823 has been doing. Our website is still the main place to go for a complete portfolio and detailed information, but this blog will allow me to post fun updates, quick photos from the latest sessions and help anyone and everyone get to know me and Studio 823 more personally. The point of a blog is to provide a steady stream of fresh information for you to view. Plus, allow for more interaction. So please bookmark this site, return back often and if the mood hits you, leave a comment!
